We need your help to spread the word to school principals and staff about a new Afterschool Professional Awards  category: The Principal's Partner Award!

The Principal’s Partner Award for an Outstanding Out-of-School Time (OST)* Organization allows school principals and staff an opportunity to nominate an organization by recognizing and acknowledging the outstanding work of their OST partner and the impact they have on the school community.

Principals and staff from Denver area schools are encouraged to nominate an OST organization based on the following criteria:

  • Community Based Organization, external to the District, provides OST on-site at the school

  • A significant number of students are served in the program

  • High quality activities and relationships are reported and observed

  • Partnership with the external Community Based Organization is strong

If you are an OST provider or professional working in a school: Pass this along to your principal!

*Out-of-School Time (OST) refers to the hours when school-aged children are not in school (before school, after school, weekends, school breaks and during the summer).

Not sure if the person (or you) fits a specific category? NOMINATE! If you have someone in mind that you want to honor, celebrate and appreciate: submit a nomination. If the person is not selected for the “award,” they will still receive notification of the nomination and that makes a HUGE impact. Let people know you see them and appreciate them!
